Credit Repair For Your Mortgage

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Jim Kemish

Every Point Counts

Do you plan to purchase a home or refinance your mortgage anytime soon? You better make sure your credit score is as good as it can be. A leading credit repair expert offers some powerful tips on improving your credit score and getting the best mortgage rate possible.

Find Out Your FICO Scores

Your mortgage lender will underwrite your loan application using the middle of your three FICO scores. If you expect to purchase a home or refinance your current mortgage you should know your FICO scores in advance. If there is a problem it is best that you discover it, rather than your mortgage lender. Plan your credit repair strategy today.

Get the Right Scores

The credit scores sold by Experian and TransUnion are their own proprietary scores and can differ from your FICO scores by a significant amount. Equifax sells a true FICO score, but will apply the FICO model only to its own data, and it is not enough to have one FICO score. Your credit repair effort requires reliable information. The only site consumers can purchase their three FICO scores is myfico.com.

Check Your Revolving Balances

Your revolving balances have a dramatic impact on your credit scores. Many people in credit repair programs assume incorrectly that if they make their payments on time their scores will be fine. Later they wonder why their scores are languishing. A high balance on a credit card may cause a drop of over one hundred points your scores. You cannot afford for this to happen. When it comes to your mortgage, every point counts.

Bring Your Balances Down

Plan in advance and bring your balances down as much as possible before your make your mortgage application. The FICO scoring model recognizes five levels of credit card usage: 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 percent; the lower the balance the higher the score. Here is some great credit repair advice, if you have the ability you should reduce your balance below 20 percent of your credit limit.

Proofread Your Reports

Once you have all three of your credit reports you should take the time to proofread every bit of information. Remember that you may be living with your new mortgage payment for many years to come. Don’t make the mistake of believing that if the information on your report looks familiar it is accurate. Credit repair requires a bit of healthy skepticism. There are many types of errors possible; not all errors are obvious. I suggest that you spend a couple of hours examining your reports. It may be the best investment of time you ever made.

Fix the Derogatory Information

Look carefully at the derogatory information on your reports. Common errors include duplicate accounts and accounts that are reporting beyond the seven year reporting period limit. Keep in mind that the reporting period for a collection starts with the first missed payment in the sequence that led to the collection status. Collectors often reset the clock accidently, or otherwise, and report well beyond the expiration of the legal limit. You should also know that when a collector sells a debt, or returns it to the original creditor, they are supposed to cease reporting, but rarely do. This is a great credit repair opportunity.

Fix the Positive Information

Many of the errors that can hurt your credit scores are not derogatory and are harder to spot than a thirty day late payment or a collection. A patient credit repair effort will pay off. Some of the errors that commonly go unnoticed include under-reported credit limits and misreported account opening dates. Under-reported credit limits can make it look like your credit card is maxed-out and your score will reflect this. Misreported account opening dates can make it look like your account is newer than it really is and you will lose points.

The Power of a Rapid Rescore

If you find yourself needing to improve your credit score quickly, try a Rapid Rescore. A Rapid Rescore is a tool offered only by mortgage brokers. It allows you to furnish documentation that balances have been paid down, or that derogatory information has been resolved or is reported in error. The mortgage broker provides the documentation to the credit bureaus. They in turn recalculate your score within three days. Instant credit repair. There is a small cost involved, but it can be well worth it.

Hold off on New Purchases

Too many people make the mistake of making large purchases before they apply for a mortgage. The effect is to inflate revolving balances and deflate saving accounts, thereby lowering credit scores and weakening the mortgage application. Wait until you close on your new mortgage before purchasing your new furniture. Hold off on all significant transactions. Save your money and preserve your credit scores.

New Credit and Your Credit Repair Effort

Your credit score is determined by both the negative and positive information on your credit report. If you do not have any open credit your credit score will suffer. Many people in credit repair programs open secured credit cards to start the rebuilding process. That’s a good idea, and very effective. But be careful of the timing. The first month a new account appears on your credit report your score will fall. If you need to build new credit don’t wait until the last minute.

Camille Howe

Folding Security Gates restrict access to passageways and buildings without obstructing ventilation or obscuring visibility. Warehouses and manufacturers commonly use folding security gates to protect halls, building entrances, bay doors, docks, and rear entrances to plants. Educational facilities and medical care institutions also use them to restrict building access after normal working hours. Homes and offices can also benefits from folding security gates when extra security measures are desired and determined appropriate.

The classic folding gate design is that of an interlocking lattice of steel, riveted back to back to provide a sturdy barrier against intrusion and to withstand exposure to environmental elements. Standard sizes offered by Easy Rack from 4-1/2′ wide by 5-1/2′ high single gates to 16′ wide by 8-1/2′ high double gates. Door gates are made for door openings between 24” to 48” wide in heights from 61” to 83”. Portable gates are available in sizes 6 and 12 feet wide. Easy Rack will also provide custom size single and double security folding gates up to 10’ high.

Folding Security Door Gates

These gates are intended to secure door openings ranging from 24″ to 48″ wide and 61″ to 83″ high. They feature a unique reversible hinge design that allows them to be mounted to either the right side or the left side of the doorway in either the casing or the face of the opening. Each folding security door gate comes with a locking bar that can be secured with a padlock. When not in use, the gate will pivot 180 degrees out of the way when open.

Single Folding Security Gates

These one piece gates are intended for standard openings, patio doors, garages, and industrial and commercial entrances measuring 4-1/2′ to 7-1/2′ wide and up to 8′ in height. Single folding security gates are shipped preconfigured to lock on the left (default position), but an Easy Rack specialist can have them manufactured to lock on the right side. A ball bearing caster, welded to the lead rail of the gate, is used to aid in the extension and retraction of the gate. Like door gates, single gates will pivot 180 degrees when not in use. To compensate from the loss of structure when the gate is stretched open, a drop pin holds the center of the gate in place.

Double Folding Security Gates

These gates are necessary for larger openings, overhead doors, dock doors, storefronts, and bay doors in factories and warehouses. These two-piece gates can be custom fitted to any size width, and a maximum height of 10′. Because they are Double Gates, each side will pivot 180 degrees out of the way, allowing the gates to be used with dock and overhead doors in industrial facilities that need an unobstructed passage for vehicles and material handling equipment to pass through.

Portable Folding Security Gates

These gates are routinely used in public schools and hospitals to seal off hallways, cafeteria areas, and sensitive areas within the building. They feature a two piece design consisting of dual 6’ X 6.5’ sections. They are easy to install because they are designed to pass through standard door heights and be can be rolled up for convenient storage. For extremely large entrances or hallways, additional 6’ sections can be added on.

Trade Show Displays: The Differences Between Hanging and Pop-Up Displays

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Amy Nutt

The type of display you use for your trade show booth is something that is going to make a difference in how you do business. The idea is to stand out and be unique amongst the rest, so you must figure out which kind of display is going to be the one to fit you best. Two of the displays you may find that you have to choose from are hanging displays and pop-up displays. Each may look the same as each other, but the truth is that they are very different. It is important that you know those differences so that you can make an informed decision regarding which you should use.

Hanging displays

Hanging displays are rather true to their name. They actually hang over top of your trade show booth. They also make for a great attention grabber because they can be seen from far distances. You don’t have to have one of those booths that aren’t seen until the individual is standing right upon it. They can see it from across the way and make a beeline for your booth.

The downfall is that these work best at trade shows that are conducted within an arena or a convention center. That way the trade show booth owner has a ceiling to hang the display from. If the show is outside, then there is nothing to hang it from unless you build an incredibly tall pole that allows you to hang the display. It is then that you’re putting your display up against such elements as wind and rain. You would also have to transport the pole and building such a contraption could prove to be expensive because you would have to somehow make it compact for transport. That might be why you never see hanging displays at outside trade shows.

Pop-up displays

Pop-up displays are different from hanging displays in that they don’t hang. They come in a number of sizes and materials. Display assembly is quite easy because the frame is built to simply pop-up. An example of a unique pop-up is one that is 20 feet long and 8 feet high. It sits on the ground and actually has a wave shape to it. This makes it unique compared to pop-ups that may be one simple curve and sits upon a tabletop. However, tabletop pop-up displays are also great to showcase items you may have. You can also place lighting above the pop-up to enhance your display. Any type of lighting is going to make a difference and pop-up displays allow for that.

Another great thing about pop-up displays is the fact that they can be used both indoors and outdoors. That way you don’t have to fret if your next trade show is going to be outside. You can still use your pop-up display to bring attention to your booth.

Maximizing your presence

You can maximize your trade show presence by using one or both of these display types. If you’re having an indoor trade show, you can use your hanging display and your pop-up display. If you find you’re going to be outside, then you can just use your pop-up display. Both are very effective in bringing a crowd to your booth and you’ll find that you’ll earn a return on your investment because of the ability of these tools to attract a crowd to your booth. Just remember that you have to spend money to make money and that purchasing the right trade show displays is one of those instances. Just make sure you look around and see how much more business you are achieving against those who do not employ any type of display.

Create-it Displays is a provider and manufacturer of custom trade show displays and exhibits. They offer a wide range of display stands including hanging displays, pop-up displays and table-top display stands.

Folding Door Security Gates

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Camille Howe

Even the sturdiest of doors do not always prevent unauthorized entry or break in. Intruders can and will enter virtually any door if they enough determination. Door security gates add an additional level of security to buildings that wish to restrict or prohibit access through one or more of its doors. They are made from a folding lattice of sturdy ¾”channel that can expand and cover the entrance to the doorway, and they can be mounted either in the casing or the facing of the door opening.

Folding security door gates have been engineered to restrict access to door openings that range between 24” and 48” in width and 61” to 83” in height. Door security gates are made with a reversible hinge design that allows them to be mounted to either the right side of the doorway or the left side. When the gate is opened, it they will pivot a full 180 degrees to allow safe, convenient access to the building. Every door security gate includes a locking bar to secure the unit and block unauthorized access and/or intrusion.

Almost any building will benefit from a security door gate. Small boutiques and convenience stores top this list because most receive deliveries through a door in the back of the business that can be easily broken into at night after the business is closed. Placing a gate on the door will help discourage burglars looking for an easy target, and it can also possibly help a business receive discounts on insurance an if the carrier recognizes the value in added security. Convenience stores and gas stations can also benefit from security gates installed across doors that lead to garage areas, storage areas, and private offices. This not only helps property, but it also makes working at night safer. Adding a security door gate is something every 24 hour facility should strongly consider as a precaution against violent crime and robbery. Industrial facilities can also use security gates on doors that lead to restricted parts of the building. Because these gates are controlled by padlocks, it is a very simple matter to issue a key to only those who need to be in that part of the building.

Installing security door gates is simple. You simply stand the folded gate against the door frame and mark the mounting surface through the holes in the hinge bar. If you are mounting with wood, it works best if you use 5/16 X 2” lag bolts. If you are mounting the door security gate with steel, drill and tap for 5/16 X 2” lag bolts in 3/8” holes. Next, drill appropriately sized holes in the mounting surface, and then mount the gate by inserting the screws through the hinge bar. After you have the security door gate securely mounted, stretch it across the opening and line up the padlock hole in the locking bar with the padlock hole in the gate. Mark the mounting holes of the locking bar with a pen or pencil, drill the holes, and mount the locking bar with screws. Now the security door gate is ready to be pulled shut, and locked with a padlock.

American Made Commercial Lighting Products

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Kimberly Quang

The quality of the commercial lighting products that you sell your clients matters now more than it ever has. Because we have entered a period of recession, companies that spend money on replacements or upgrades intend to stretch their investment as far as it can possibly go. Sometimes your clients may have already done a bit of homework themselves on the type of commercial lighting products they need, and may offer to purchase the equipment and pay you for the labor to install them. This is all well and good if they have sourced their products well, perhaps through our channel or one of our affiliate manufacturing distributors. However, if they are planning on buying imported commercial lighting products, or going down to the hardware store to obtain retail grade materials at a lower cost, it would serve their long term interests if you advised them against such a course of action.

There are problems associated with both foreign-manufactured commercial lighting products and with retail commercial lighting products. Foreign-made products may claim to be commercial grade in quality, but you have no way of determining if this is really the case. Foreign governments have different technical and quality assurance standards than our own, and even if the fixture is compatible with US-made technology, you have no guarantee of quality assurance. When the product fails, there is no way to enforce the warranty on what you have worked so hard to install—if there is a warranty on the product at all. This will further stagnate your client’s revenue stream with replacement costs and additional labor. This is not the way to recession proof your client’s business.

It is far better to invest up front in commercial lighting products that will do what the manufacturer promises they will do. This level of performance and guarantee is best obtained through products made in the U.S.A by reputable American manufacturers who even now are working to improve existing light fixture technology for greater ergonomics, energy savings, safety, and aesthetics. This is why Residential Landscape Lighting and Design represents only those manufactures who headquarter in the United States AND manufacture their products here in the United States.

When you can offer your clients the best products in the world of commercial lighting backed up by warranties in writing, you can also promise them a number of tangible financial returns on their investment through the proper installation and use of these products.

Improved Safety Results from U.S.-manufactured outdoor lighting fixtures.

Parking lots and parking garages are two places where people leaving work after dark are often attacked. They are also places where vandalism and vehicle burglaries frequently occur. Upgrading the lighting system in both of these locations with commercial lighting products that feature the latest in glare shielding, optical performance, and light directional control increases foot candle levels in these areas and simultaneously reduces light pollution into surrounding neighborhoods and streets.

Ergonomics

Better interior lighting improves ergonomics and often creates a more positive morale and motivated sense of production among the staff. Many factories are now using fluorescent lights with electronic ballasts that produce a high level of light and superior color rendering at 40% less. Fluorescent low bays are a favorite commercial lighting product for assembly line work because of the high CRI they offer. Larger facilities that need high bay lights can also benefit from HID fixtures with pulse start technology. Interior office lights and ceiling lights can also now be done with low voltage halogen, LED, and fluorescent fixtures that replace incandescent with more comfortable and controllable levels of light and more precise lighting effects.

ROI through Power Conservation

This last point brings us to our next: ROI through power conservation. The more efficient the commercial lighting products are, the faster they pay for themselves by saving on the electric bill month after month. An added bonus to this is that most energy efficient fixtures enjoy a very long lamp life, so they will certainly be around when the cost of purchasing them has been offset by subsequent savings. American made commercial lighting products are intended to put money back into your client’s pockets in this fashion and to contribute to nationwide efforts to develop more environmentally technology pursuant to reversing global climate change.

Incorporating Your Business

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Brad Jefferson

The process of incorporating, while daunting to many, is not nearly as difficult as it may seem. While the details of the process vary from state to state, the generally proces remains the same. For the sake of this article, I will be focusing on incorporating in Georgia; if you check with the Secretary of State’s office in the state in which you live, you will get details on differences, if any, between your state and the state of Georgia.

While even the most competent businessperson or entrepreneur may not necessarily feel that they are prepared to undertake the process Incorporating in Georgia if you look at the process, step by step, you will find that it will not be nearly as intimidating or overwhelming as you may have thought, and with the advice of a competent lawyer, the process should be easy!

An incorporation attorney will let you know the range of documentation and other information needed for incorporation. If you have not already obtained a tax identification number, or EIN, they will instruct you as to how to apply for one. In addition to all of the steps that are required for incorporation, your attorney will also advise you of other options which you may wish to consider, such as whether you may want your business to be recognized in states other than Georgia.

If you are uncertain about any of these matters, your attorney can offer experienced advice that will be in the best interest of your future company and its potential for the widest degree of success. Incorporation does not need to be expensive, and it is certainly worth the value as an investment in your new company.

Forming a corporation is a precise process. There are many things which must be done, and they must be done correctly, in the correct order, and in accordance to a specific time frame. There are very few individuals who have either the degree of knowledge or the time to dedicate to doing it all properly. Even something as basic as meeting deadlines can be a delicate issue for the businessperson who is too busy in the workplace to be as effective as necessary to deal with these details.

When you elect to consult with your attorney and leave the details in his hands, you are making the best possible decision for the eventual success of your new corporation.

If you choose not to go with a Georgia Attorney, of course, there are other alternatives. A number of companies now offer online incorporation services. Before you go with one of these services, however, be careful. There are many mistakes that can be made. For instance, if you file the wrong corporation, say, an S-Corporation rather than an LLC, you could be in for some major trouble during tax filing time! That is why we do recommend working with an Atlanta Attorney. Of course, if you do your homework and know the ins and outs of corporate and tax law, you may very well be able to do it on your own.

Brad Jefferson is a successful entrepeneur and native of Atlanta, Georgia. He has incorporated many companies with the assistance of the Atlanta, Georgia Lawyers at Persily & Associates.

Debt Relief Credit Repair - Using Loans to Repair Bad Credit

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Dana B. Smith

If you are dealing with bad credit and you want to repair it, you should first search out a debt consolidation loan. But if you have bad credit, what firm will help you acquire a loan to relieve your financial situation? Debt merger loans can help you repair your credit and improve your credit rating. A debt consolidation loan will allow you to get on the path to an improved credit score.

When you get a debt consolidation loan, the loan amount you receive is then used to pay off all of your creditors at once. By paying off all of your creditors at one time, you are fixing all of your credit problems at once. After your debtors are paid the money you owe them, you will begin paying off the loan consolidation company in agreed upon monthly installments. These loans are meant for people with poor credit so that they can fix their credit rating.

A large amount of debt consolidation loans that you can obtain from credit repair firms are secured with a low interest rate compared to the interest rate of credit cards. Good research can mean the difference between paying fifteen percent interest and nine interest.

Forex Signals - Will They Help You Or Hurt You?

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Richard M. Davieess

The Forex market confuses many inexperienced traders. Some companies take advantage of their confusions by enticing them to purchase Forex signals. Forex signals are touted as a way to help the new traders get a better understanding of the market and how the market works. Thinking these signals will give them an advantage, many novice traders purchase them. Some traders benefit from the signals and some don’t. Whether Forex signals are worth the cost is a matter of dispute.

Each trader must decide for themselves if the benefits of the signals are worth the cost. New traders in the Forex market should research the value and usefulness of signals before deciding if they should purchase them. They should learn more about Forex signals, find out what precautions to take, and how to proceed. They should also learn what other options they have instead of paying for Forex signals.

Novice traders are cautioned against paying for Forex signals by many experts. Signals may seem appealing to inexperienced traders, but signals can have disappointing results. The trader needs to trust the person selling the signals, and that can be a difficult thing for an inexperienced trader. According to experts, if the people selling Forex signals were great traders then they would be making their living from the Forex market instead of from selling Forex signals. Traders considering buying the signals should consider this distinction carefully.

There are few things you should consider before buying Forex signals. Traders should select signals from sellers who give a free trial. Legitimate businesses are willing to allow you to test their information before buying it. Traders should get audited results from the signal provider. Company who are unwilling to give audited results should not be considered. In order to ensure that the trader is receiving information that will benefit them, they should only work with companies who are willing to provide previous, audited results to the trader. Companies who validate their information are easier for the trader to trust than companies who refuse to give traders a trial of their services and audited results.

Inexperienced traders who want some help getting started should apply for a trial account from a Forex broker. Trial accounts allow traders to practice trading without using real money, and thereby learn about the Forex market. Traders can use trial accounts to learn the fundamentals of the Forex and gain experience with trading and research. Many brokers offer trial accounts with the expectation that traders will gain information and comfort with the Forex, and will develop a business relationship with the broker.

Traders who decide to open a traditional Forex account should start trading with a small deposit until they gain experience. Traders who start trading with a small account will be less afraid to trade because they have less to lose. Once traders move from a trial account to a traditional account they should keep in mind that the different ramifications from their trades may cause a psychological impact from using real money. Traders should be aware of this when they begin traditional trading and should act accordingly.
