CHICAGO - Caterpillar Inc , the world’s top maker of earth-moving equipment, diesel engines and gas turbines, posted higher quarterly earnings on Friday but missed analysts’ expectations, and cut its full-year earnings outlook. Its shares fell more than 5 percent.
